About AYCC

Asia Pacific Youth Network on Climate Change (AYCC) is an international network of determined youths from Asia and the Pacific for actions against climate change. Its international secretariat is based in Nepal . A team of people representing different constituencies across Asia and the Pacific govern AYCC council. Currently, AYCC is working with different interdisciplinary groups and NGOs in Australia , Bangladesh , Cambodia , India , Indonesia , Japan , Malaysia , Myanmar , Nepal , Pakistan , Philippines , South Korea , Sri Lanka , and Thailand . We extend our hands for solidarity with all likeminded groups and networks in the Asia and pacific region.
Vision of AYCC

A world where the rights of people who are most vulnerable and affected by climate change are protected and state and non- state actors are accountable to prevent and mitigate the causes and consequences of climate change.
Mission of AYCC

To galvanize a regional response jointly taking actions with grassroots and other likeminded actors at all levels to reduce vulnerability, and achieve sustained improvements in the quality of life of affected and those who are at the risk of climate change.
Goals of AYCC
  • To facilitate and support social and political mobilizations locally, nationally and internationally and build alliances to effectively address issues related to the causes and consequences of climate change.
  • To influence public policies and budgetary allocation on climate change from the rights based perspectives.
  • To facilitate and support civil society and media action to change societal attitudes and behavior on climate change.
  • To develop a common platform for solidarity movements on different climate change issues in Asia and the pacific region.
Major Strategy
  • To build the network as mass and knowledge based network.
